More Than Just a Pair of Shoes

At Viatu Foundation, we provide shoes just like these to children in Kenya.

Our busiest time is during the back-to-school season. Many of the kids we provide shoes to are used to walking barefoot to and from school. This exposes their feet to the elements, and to hot, muddy or thorny surfaces, increasing the likelihood of disease or physical accidents. Our goal is to keep children safe from these hazards.

The shoes we provide are made in a local market in Kenya. By buying the shoes locally, we are able to provide a pair of shoes with socks for only $10. By keeping the cost low, we are able to provide more shoes to more children.

These shoes not only help keep children safe and healthy, but have shown to increase confidence.
